Once we arrive, we will park the truck and trailer then come to your door to meet you and your pup! We will discuss your grooming goals and preferences as we get acquainted with your dog. Once we've agreed on a plan- we will groom your pup in our trailer right outside and bring them back to you when they are finished!
Starting at three months of age, the Rabies vaccine is required for dogs and cats to be groomed.
For cats, and additional vaccine is also required: The FVRCP vaccine.
You can send a copy of the paperwork via-email or text. If you aren't tech savy, no worries, just call your vet and ask them to send over a copy to our email: bowwowmobilegroomers@gmail.com
We must have proof of vaccination before your appointment!
We must be able to touch/pet your pup easily. If we can't put hands on them without a muzzle, we will not be able to provide any services. If we can pet your dog comfortably- from there it really is a case-by-case basis. We will communicate with you clearly throughout the process and keep you in the loop with how things are going.
If a groom must be stopped for safety reasons, you will only be charged for the services completed. If a service was started, and cannot be completed, a limited fee will apply for travel, preparation, products, and time spent attempting the service.
We completely understand wanting to stay close to your pup, especially for their first grooming appointment or if they experience separation anxiety. However, we ask that owners do not remain present during the grooming process. Having some separation from their owner can help many dogs settle into the grooming routine and allows us to give them our full, undivided attention in a calm, distraction-free environment.
But, of course, you are invited to check out the trailer if you'd like before we start! You are also more than welcome to help your dog into the trailer if that makes you and your pup more comfortable. We want the transition into the grooming process to be as positive as possible.
We provide one-on-one grooming, so your pup will never share the trailer with another client’s dog at the same time.
If you have multiple pets, and would like them to stay together, my husband and I can comfortably groom two of your dogs at the same time while still giving each dog individualized, one-on-one attention.
Absolutely! The more you tell us about your pup, the better we can prepare and accommodate their individual needs. Please let us know about any current or known health conditions, mobility concerns, medications, or other special considerations before their appointment.
Dogs with a current seizure disorder or a history of seizures will require veterinary clearance before we can provide grooming services.
For safety reasons, we are currently unable to accommodate dogs who cannot independently stand and walk. This includes dogs who require wheelchairs, slings, harness systems, or other extensive mobility assistance during grooming.
We kindly require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancelling or rescheduling. Cancelling or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to a fee of $25.
We accept a debit/credit card (2.5% + $0.10 per card transaction) or cash.
We can, but we generally do not recommend shaving a double-coated dog. A double coat provides important insulation and protection from the elements, and shaving can permanently or temporarily alter the way the coat grows back.
If you understand the potential risks and still prefer a shave, we will respect your choice and provide the best, most professional groom we can.
Shaving a double-coated dog requires additional time and care, so a $15 fee for SM-MD breeds or a $20 fee for LG+ breeds will apply.
We currently offer cat baths, yes!
We do not offer full haircuts or extensive dematting on cats. Cat-specific add-ons are avaiable, though! See our booking website or contact us for more info!
